During weekend of June 21-23, 2002, formation directors,
formation team members, novices, postulants, temporary professed
sisters, and archivists met at the IHM Motherhouse in Immaculata.
A special prayer service marked the beginning of the gathering.
The weekend included a pilgrimage to places of significance
in the foundation of the IHMs. The weekend provided time
for prayer, sharing, recreation and a visit to the grave
of Mother Theres Maxis as well as an opportunity to explore
the treasures held by the Immaculata IHM archives.
Members from each congregation shared a brief history of
Theresa's connection with their own history.
Part of the various prayer times included a sprinkling
rite with water from the river closest to the motherhouse
of each congregation. |
