Sacred Pilgrimage
We continued to experience our common heritage during our
third formation gathering hosted by the Oblate Sisters of
Providence in Baltimore, Maryland, in June, 2004. The history
we learned as we 'toured' the windows in Mt. Providence chapel
gave deeper understanding of the roots of our congregations.
We prayed in the rooms where Mother Lange died at the age
of 98 and visited St. Francis Academy where Mother Mary Lange
began her school. We stood at the site where Mother Lange
and Theresa Maxis made vows as Oblate Sisters of Providence.
We were enriched as we continued to drink in our rich heritage. |
